Bridge Demolition and Removal.
Brawley, California

APEX recently completed the demolition and removal for two bridge abutments at the New River Bridge located in Brawley, California. A layer of asbestos sheeting positioned between the bridge decking and the foundation abatement required special handling. Prior to beginning work APEX completed a comprehensive work plan and health and safety plan, obtained the appropriate regulatory approval and secured proper permits. The work consisted of the demolition of both bridge sections. The careful removal of the asbestos sheeting and appropriate disposal of all construction debris and hazardous waste. All work was completed in level C protection and properly monitored by an on-site certified asbestos consultant. APEX quality effort allowed the project to proceed on schedule with a minimal amount of delay.
