Artesia Park and Ride remedial Investigation
Environmental consulting for the I-405 Highway Widening Project in Los Angeles County, California. APEX determined the potential presence of contaminated material (lead, in this case) in and around highway shoulders and sidewalls undergoing renovation, and provided data for soil disposal alternatives for a highway renovation project. Soil samples were transported to a State Certified Laboratory—with appropriate chain-of-custody documentation—and analyzed. APEX verbally reported the analysis with 48 hours, and subsequently prepared the findings, conclusions, and recommendations for remediation allowing construction to remain on schedule. I-880 Realignment Bobo’s junkyard, Oakland, CA APEX investigated whether foundation conditions in the areas to be excavated could impact construction workers health and safety and provide data for soil disposal alternatives. The site was located in the immediate proximity of a former chamical storage facility. The project consisted of two phases. The first of which assessed the contamination at the site using direct push technology and soil gas methods. The second phase ascertained the extent of soil and groundwater contamination at the site with additional samples. APEX determined soil and groundwater contamination in varying concentrations across the site. All samples were transported to a State certified laboratory for chemical analysis-with appropriate chain–of-custody documentation. APEX provided verbal and table summaries upon our receipt of laboratory data prior to the submittal of written reports.
