Investigation for subway project, Los Angeles, California APEX supported the identification of fault zones over the course of a planned subway route throughout busy, in-use city streets. This work was performed under comprehensive QA/QC guides and included drilling and continuous sampling of more than 100 borings and 5000 feet of test holes. Port Renovation Over the past two months, APEX has been drilling for a valued client at a major Southern California Port. The work has consisted primarily of geotechnical borings advanced to depths ranging from 25 to 115 feet. Samples were collected at a continuous interval using a down hole hammer and the split spoon sampling system. Drilling proceeded despite adverse drilling conditions in the form rain, standing water, mud, and periodic areas of limited access. APEX is prepared for adversity, so you don’t have to be.
